SKIN TYPES AND PROTECTION
For us all the skins are the same. They all are smooth to touch. But this is not the truth. Like any other thing skin is also varied in types. Not giving it any kind of scientific bent here are the kinds of skin that you may encounter:
1. Normal skin: This kind of skin is soft to touch and has very less imperfections. It is uniform through out. It is quite shiny around the forehead. The production of the compound sebum is normal. Such skin types face very less problems. If sometimes it faces any then it can be easily resolved. All the skin care products suits this skin type.
2. Oily skin type: In this kind of skin type there is secretion of sebum which makes the skin greasy and oily. This skin type can be easily identified in children in their teen years. This skin type is faces acne problems. Pimples and redness is quite normal.
3. Dry skin: This type of skin lacks water and lipids. It more prone to external agent and stress. This skin type lacks the protective film which prevents it from external agents which hinders its health. Roughness is something that trademarks this skin type. It is a very delicate skin type and is subjected to many problems.
WHAT IS THE CAUSE OF DRY SKIN?
Some have this type of skin because they inherit this from their parents or due to some diseases like Eczema. This disease flakes the skin and makes it very dry.
There is a difference between the dry skin and a skin disorder. Itchiness and uneasiness are the basic symptoms of the disorder. But when there is no disorder the skin is normally dry. The inherited disorder like eczema and it usually affects the parts where the body bents.
Another disorder named psoriasis has strong genetic components as well as environmental parts. Red plaques with white layer on scalp and elbow are visible.
During winters this skin type faces lots of problems as dry skin becomes drier due to evaporation taking place through the skin surface.
HOW TO PROTECT THE SKIN FROM SUN?
1. Suns cream protects you from the harmful glare of the sun. Therefore it is advised to put on suns cream to protect your skin from sun.
2. Use non- irritating and greasy suns cream.
3. Wear sun glasses
4. Use high SPF suns cream
5. Re apply it after every 3-4 hours
6. Try and avoid the sun on very sunny day.
These measures if you follow can protect you from those harmful sun rays. With the knowledge of the type of skin you have you can chose the correct skin care product. You should have the knowledge to at least keep your skin healthy naturally. Your skin can also glow with health if you do not experiment with it and use only those products which actually suit you.
Your outer look is the showcase of what is inside. So one should know the pros and cons of whatever product or food they are using. It will ultimately affect the health.
